Alison and Will | Oakland Metropolitan Links Wedding

When Will proposed to Alison, he attached the ring box to their beloved dog Ty. When he opened the box, the ring went flying! Fortunately he found it before Alison figured out what had went wrong, and he was able to propose.

In a similar fashion, Ty walked down the aisle at Metropolitan Golf Links dressed as a Fedex worker to deliver the wedding rings. Seriously have you heard of anything cuter?

In order to honor Will’s heritage, the ceremony included the Persian Sofreh table. Their closest friends and family members took part in the tradition, and showered Will and Alison with blessings.

Their reception included an epic first dance that paid homage to Alison’s dancing career. With the golden light streaming in from the big windows,  the ambiance in the reception was doubly-epic and magical 🙂 One of my favorite moments on the wedding day was when Alison’s dad saw her for the first time. They shared a first look, and you’ll see his sweet response. He couldn’t stop saying “oh wow!”

Since Alison and Will had family and friends from out of town, they hosted a post-wedding brunch the following afternoon. I think it’s common to feel like you don’t have enough time to spend with your loved ones on your wedding day; what a brilliant way for them to extend their time everyone!

Alison and Will,

It was such an honor to document your wedding day! You fit together so well and respect each other and each other’s families. What a great way to start your marriage! Enjoy married life with Ty; he’s a lucky dog to have humans who love him and love each other so much!

Warmly,

Julia
