Casa Real at Ruby Hill Winery Wedding | Rachel and Leo

Rachel and Leo’s Casa Real at Ruby Hill wedding was God-honoring, meaningful, and so fun! Their planner, Hilarie of Sugar n Spice Events, executed a flawless day with no hiccups and a smooth timeline. We started with getting ready at a nearby hotel in Pleasanton. Rachel’s getting ready outfit was so classy we needed a little portrait session just in that!

After arriving at Casa Real, the girls got dressed and Rachel did a first with for her bridesmaids. Since Rachel and Leo were opting out of a first look, we just did separate bridal party photos. Casa Real at Ruby Hill has an old-world European feel, with a lot of variety for portrait locations! On a sunny day like this, we used the shady trees in the ceremony space for portraits. Once the sun gets a little lower, the fountain, vineyard, and front grass are really nice options! For rainy days, Casa Real has the overhangs which is really useful!

They shared a special ceremony which their pastor officiated. Communion was their first act of marriage, just like my husband and I! After the ceremony concluded we finished up bridal party & family portraits. Then the party got started!!

The evening got cloudy and I was a bit sad they wouldn’t get golden hour in the vineyard- the light is truly magical out there! We wrapped up their “golden hour” pictures and they went back inside. A few minutes later, there was a break in the clouds and the light was incredibly golden. It was also lightly misting which you could see because of the rain! We raced back out to grab a few sunny portraits before the dance floor started.

The dance floor was incredible – so many people having fun. It was the perfect conclusion to an incredibly joyful day! Enjoy some highlights from Rachel and Leo’s Casa Real wedding!

Big thanks to the incredible team that served Rachel and Leo!
