Dave and Catherine | San Leandro Wedding

The day before the wedding, I stopped at the church with my husband to plan out how we would capture the ceremony. When I walked in, I heard lots and lots of voices. There were probably over 10 ladies working on food, flowers, and other little details to make the day amazing for Dave and Catherine. I almost teared up seeing the body of Christ work so hard for their sister. Their hard work paid off, because the wedding day absolutely beautiful.

From the time I arrived for getting ready pictures, I could feel the warmth and joy that surrounded this wedding day. Not only was Catherine overjoyed to be marrying her love, but her friends and family were constantly smiling because they were overjoyed for her. Their ceremony was a very joyous hour (and serious when it needed to be). My dad performed the ceremony, so I’m a little biased, but I think it was the funniest ceremony I’ve ever heard 🙂 My dad had Dave and Catherine each share their side of their love story with him, and he summarized both during the ceremony. Dave’s was apparently crazy long, so he shortened that one up (good job remembering the details, Dave!). And according to my father, the end of Catherine’s story was “too mushy to share in public”.  After they were announced as husband and wife, they walked down the aisle with the happiest faces I have ever seen.

During their reception, Dave and Catherine made their way to hug & talk to every guest. It became obvious very fast that these two are cherished by hundreds of people. Once again, I almost teared up seeing the amazing community that surrounds them. I’m positive that with Lord in the center, an amazing body of believers around them, and love between them, Dave and Catherine’s marriage is destined for success. Here’s to a lifetime of love!
