How is my baby two months old already? It has been both the longest and shortest two months of my life. This past month has been an exciting one, and we are more in love with our baby boy than ever before. Here’s a little recap of where he’s at!
Things He’s Done:
1.) This month he went to MAUI! His first flights, his first time swimming (ocean and pool!), and his first wedding (well, since he’s been on the outside). See more from our Maui trip here
2.) He started smiling and reacting to us!! When he smiles, my heart feels an amount of joy I never knew was possible.
3.) He joined me at both a newborn session and an engagement session.
4.) He got sick…and it lasted almost two weeks 🙁 He was such a trooper the first week…then the second week I think he felt much worse, and verbalized it. Frequently 😉
Things He Likes:
1.) Mornings! He’s happiest when he wakes up. Our new routine includes him sitting up in our bed, stretching his legs, and sending smiley pictures to Greg at work 🙂
2.) He smiles the most when we blow in his hair. It brings a smile to his face almost every time!
3.) He loves when Greg touches his nose and mouth. Another smile-inducer! (Greg’s working hard on getting him to giggle…hopefully that’s coming this month!
4.) His pacifier. He didn’t like it the first month, but we switched types and he loves the new ones!
5.) His Mickey Mouse stuffed animal (courtesy of the Ashkenasy’s…if you’re reading this, thank you so much!!). He just stares and stares at it.
6.) Bath time!! And it makes my swimmers-heart so happy. He gets so active and loves kicking his legs in the water. He doesn’t like when his hair gets wet, though
Things He Doesn’t Like:
1.) Being changed. Well, half the time he likes it and half the time he doesn’t. When he got sick he got used to being held…so when we put him down and he’s wide awake, he gets upset. But then I blow in his face and he’s happy again!
2.) Shots. We got those today and he got SO mad.
3.) Being in his carseat.
It’s been a busy and joy-filled month. We are enamored with our baby boy and I look forward to every single day with him. God is so good.
