RCS Missions Trip Update #3

It has been SUCH a busy couple of days! On Tuesday we put on a carnival for Hilltop Christian School. The elementary students were encouraged to bring friends and we had a great turnout! We had food, games, a photo booth, and face painting. Last year enrollment went up by 20 students after the carnival; our prayer is that the same would happen this year.

On Wednesday we continued work at the school and at the dorm. One of our goals for the dorm is to finish framing the addition; we were finally able to get the first section up on Wednesday. We also finished tiling one of the bathroom floors along with grout in the shower. Today (Thursday) was another really busy day at the dorm. It was only a half day of school, so our school team was able to join the construction team to help get the framing done faster. Everyone was pretty exhausted, so we had a little siesta this afternoon. We did communion this evening just as Jesus demonstrated to his disciples for the first time 2000 years ago. Although we’re busy, we want to stay mindful of the significance of this week. Tomorrow is the last day of work, and we’ll be home in less than two days!
