During the ceremony, Suzy’s dad explained the miracle it was that Suzy and Jerome were getting married. Jerome’s family had been missionaries in India while he was growing up, and Suzy’s family had been in Africa. Although they both came to America, they lived in different states. The fact that they even met- and eventually lived in the same place and fell in love…now that is the hand of God.
I don’t think there are enough words in the world to describe how much love and laughter were present on Suzy and Jerome’s wedding day. By the end of the day, MY cheeks hurt from smiling. Usually that only happens to the bride and groom!! One of my favorite things about their wedding was how personal each and every detail was. Since they both came from different countries, there were African and Indian details spread throughout. Their guest book was a giant map on which people pinned where they were from and put their name. There were pins from all over the world. How cool is it that they literally have people from around the world who love and cherish them?!
I think it’s pretty normal to be nervous on your wedding day. I wasn’t expecting it, but Suzy and Jerome were completely calm (and if they weren’t, they sure fooled me!). They laughed their way through every part of the wedding…and I just know that’s going to continue for the next 60 years!
