Filoli: A historic mansion and gardens located in Woodside. Very elegant and sophisticated with lots of seasonal blooms. There is an entrance fee.
Crissy Beach & Field: Views of the Golden Gate Bridge, sandy beach, and large field. Located inside the Presidio.
The Wood Line: Popular San Francisco forest location located inside the Presidio **There’s always a chance SF will be foggy*
Joaquin Miller: Woodsy park in Oakland with Redwood trees and lots of greenery!
Gamble Gardens: this public garden in Palo Alto boasts florals, palm trees, brick patios, and manicured grounds you won’t get anywhere else!
San Jose Rose Garden: It is almost always blooming and has beautiful golden light before sunset!
Morcom Rose Garden, Oakland: A hidden gem in the East Bay! The garden is filled with a variety of roses, beautiful staircases, and archways. The roses bloom typically bloom in the summer and early fall.
California Historic Nursery Park: A quiet park in Fremont featuring seasonal roses (summer to fall) and lots of greenery. The highlight of this park is it is never crowded!
Hacienda De Las Flores, Moraga: This is a public park and wedding venue. It boasts varying types of greenery with a natural creek, a large field, and a beautiful patio and fountain.
The Garden at Heather Farms: This does require a photo permit. It’s a beautiful rose garden featuring seasonal blooms, olive trees, and lots of beautiful green foliage.
Redwood Regional Preserve: A small forest of redwood trees with a walkway throughout the trees. Located in Los Altos.
Alviso Adobe Park: A Pleasanton gem with a white bridge, tall oak trees, olive trees, and a historic house. Pairs really nicely with a shoot in downtown Pleasanton!
Half Moon Bay: Poplar Beach is easily accessible with plenty of parking. It has beautiful cliffs and a field. However, Half Moon Bay has plenty of beautiful beach options!
Legion of Honor Museum: Elegant Greek style columns and lots of white space. Great for winter engagement sessions since it offers protection from any weather!
Sutro Baths, San Francisco.
This place can be crowded with other photographers and couples taking photos, but for good reason! It’s unique and beautiful!
There are plenty more options, but hopefully this gives you an idea on the different looks! We could also choose an urban (downtown) setting, or a park closer to you with lots of greenery!
Pier 7: A downtown vibe in San Francisco that pairs nicely with the beach or the Wood Line.
Pearson-Arastradero Preserve: Rolling hills in Los Altos. The hills are green in spring and fade into gold during the summer and fall months.
